I fell in love with these bracelets years ago when I bought a bunch of them while shopping in Paris. I'm so excited to share them with you and support the women who are making them.
I like to think of them as the "modern woman's (or man's) friendship bracelet." I used to make real friendship bracelets at summer camp, pinning the safety pins to my (french rolled) jeans and knotting the embroidery floss into V shapes and X shapes. Since I no longer have time to make my own- I'm addicted to wearing tons of these colorful bracelets all at once.
The bracelets are made from recycled plastic foot ware in Mali, West Africa. The women who make these use the money to supplement the family income, and in some cases it is the only income. They come in every color... black, red, green, orange, turquoise, brown... below you can pick a color combination or shoot a note along with your order for a custom color combo.
